La Rochelle is a first-class port city.<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Its nickname ” Porte Oc\u00e9ane ” comes from the presence of 3 ports (fishing, commercial, pleasure). It boasts a wide variety of natural sites (low-lying coasts, sandy coasts and cliff coasts, coastal coves, small capes, promontories). The pedestrian and shopping streets of the old town attract tourists. Various historical monuments (the Lantern Tower, the Chain Tower, Saint Nicolas) are worth a visit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Visit the port des minimes<\/strong> from where you can sail to Fort Boyard, or take the bridge to L’Ile De R\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For sea-lovers, visit the Maritime Museum from April 01 to October 31.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Grand Pavois<\/strong> with 750 boats on display, including 300 afloat, and more than 800 international exhibitors from September 27 to October 02, 2017<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
