Here are a few tips for a good day out : make sure you wear good shoes, as your step counter is likely to be high by the end of the day.
Don’t forget your water bottle to stay hydrated throughout the day.
Of course, don’t forget your headgear to avoid sunstroke! The goal is to finish the day as well as we started it. <\/em>\ud83d\ude0a  <\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Head for the nature reserve<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There’s no need to get up at the crack of dawn to hit the road. Enjoy breakfast on the terrace of your mobile home or pitch.
It takes about 40 minutes from the campsite to reach the nature reserve. On-site parking is easy to find.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The reserve covers the Vend\u00e9e and Charente-Maritime departments. In total, no less than 4 900 hectares are home to a wide variety of flora and fauna.
From the banks of the S\u00e8vre niortaise, you can admire a breathtaking panorama !
Breathe in this pure air and enjoy this moment far from civilization, as if you were alone in the world.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Migratory birds come and go all year round. Take a stroll along the banks and admire the elegant avocet, greylag goose, black-tailed godwit and red knot.
Some places are more suitable for observing wildlife, so don’t hesitate to ask our teams for advice. At the same time, an observation platform is freely accessible.
It is one of France’s most important sites for migratory birds.
To better understand this ecosystem, tours are organized.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A word of advice: for the best view of these birds, bring binoculars.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Don’t disturb the wildlife and remember to collect your garbage. This reserve is a protected area and should remain so !<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Just a few minutes from the nature reserve, you can choose between two restaurants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first, ” La Ponetere “. This establishment offers on-site and takeaway meals. We advise you to stay and enjoy the magnificent setting of this restaurant. You’ll enjoy homemade dishes, as well as freshly caught seafood.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The second, ” Au Bon Accueil “. Our teams offer a warm welcome and delicious cuisine. Excellent value for money.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To discover the natural wealth of this bay, there’s nothing like a stroll.
Follow the trails and open your eyes.
From left to right, take a look at the treasures nature has to offer : salt meadows, the banks of the S\u00e8vre niortaise, dunes and pebble beaches, the tip of the Bay…<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Continue along the dune belt to the Pointe de l’Aiguillon. Here, you’ll enjoy a 360\u00b0 view of the ocean. Breathe in the pure iodine air and enjoy the sea breeze caressing your face.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
